A former Chief Executive and Managing Director of SunTrust Bank, Muhammad Jibrin Barde has expressed and extended condolences to the friends and families of the late former Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice Adamu Abdu Kafarati, who passed away yesterday in Abuja after a brief illness.
In a statement signed by his Media Office on Friday, Barde stated that Justice A.A Kafarati has gone but the legacies he left behind in the Nigeria’s judicial system will often be remembered.
“I have known him for years as a man who had never for once compromised justice for any reason whatsoever. His short stint as Chief Judge of the Federal High Court has brought sanity and purity in the legal system especially in areas under his purview. He restored public confidence in the court by ensuring that justice was served to those who ought to have it.
“I sympathise and condole with his immediate family, the people of Kwami and the country’s judiciary over this great loss. I pray that Allah will accept his soul, forgive his shortcomings and build him a home in jannah.”
