An aviation group operating at the shed of the Murtala Muhammed Airport Two (MMA2), Lagos, Domestic Airport Cargo Agents Association (DACAA) has lauded the management of the terminal for installing state-of-the-art screening machine to improve security.
DACAA said the installation of the screening machine had further enhanced security of goods and cargo at the shed.
Chairman, DACAA, Mr Monday Subair, in an interview with aviation journalists at the weekend in Lgaos, said, the recently installed equipment had also helped to facilitate movement of cargo within the terminal, stressing that the equipment at the cargo shed could compete favourably with any other facility anywhere around the world.
Besides, Subair explained that the various security agencies within the cargo shed had been professional in the discharge of their duties, stressing that members of DACAA had a good working relationship with all and sundry.
He said, “At the moment, security at the cargo shed of MMA2 has significantly improved and we have a good working relationship with the various security agencies there. They (security agencies) don’t allow the goods to go through the screening machines alone, they also complement it with physical check of cargo.”
